Magnificat (women's choir)

Magnificat (women's choir)

Magnificat was written in the summer of 2003, when I was living in Vancouver. It was premiered by the UBC Singers (directed by Bruce Pullan) and has been recorded on two CDs: A Vancouver Christmas (UBC Singers) and Nuper Rosarum Flores (Augustana Choir, directed by Ardelle Ries). Magnificat has been performed and broadcast all over North America and in Europe. It's available from the Treble Clef Music Press.

In Paradisum (SSAATTBB)

In Paradisum (SSAATTBB)

In Paradisum was the winning composition in the Guelph Chamber Choir's 2008 Young Composer Competition. It was also selected as a finalist in the 2009 Choral Horizons workshop in Minneapolis, where it was recorded by The Singers - Minnesota Choral Artists, directed by Matthew Culloton (the sound sample is from that event). It's now available from Graphite Publishing.

In Flanders Fields (SATB)

In Flanders Fields (SATB)

In Flanders Fields was commissioned and premiered in my home town by the Grande Prairie Singers. It's a simple, unaccompanied four-part setting of McCrae's famous poem. It has since been recorded on a CD entitled Nuper Rosarum Flores by the Augustana Choir, directed by Ardelle Ries (there's a sound sample from that CD below), and is now available from Graphite Publishing.
