I’m a little late with this update…there aren’t too many performances in May and June, so I’ll include summer activities as well.

Performances:

May 15: On the Beach at Night Alone (mezzo-soprano with piano); Carole Portelance, voice; Elaine Keillor, piano; Ottawa ON

May 20: Album of Old Photographs (marimba and piano), SHHH! Ensemble; Ottawa ON

June 28: Piano Trio; Somerset Trio; Richmond BC

July 9: three pieces from The Light that Remains (solo piano); Dr. Elaine Keillor; Ottawa ON (Music & Beyond)

July 17, 18, 21, August 3, 11: three folk tune arrangements (Come by the Hills, Sometimes I feel like a motherless child, and Shady Grove) that were commissioned by RCM several years ago; Eve Daniell; tour of Vancouver Island

August 7 and 8: Mappa Mundi (guitar quartet with cello); Canadian Guitar Quartet with Sebastien Singer, cello; Midland ON and Parry Sound ON (Festival of the Sound)

August 24: Candles (unaccompanied SSAATTBB with soloists); Sing Summer Adult Choir Camp (directed by Michael Zaugg); Berwick NS

Activities:

July 2-6: Summer Opera Works Youth Camp with Pacific Opera: singer Erin Cunès and I will be assisting participants in the creation of a new opera

July 9-19: Victoria Conservatory of Music Summer Theory Academy: I will be teaching theory classes and Composition Clubs

July 22-26: University of Ottawa Summer Music Academy: I will be teaching Composition Clubs
